Concrete & Heavy Debris across the Pueblo area
Concrete, brick, block and the adobe or stucco tear-out common on some of Pueblo's older southwestern-style homes are all in a different category from general debris: dense enough that a standard-size container reaches its legal weight limit while still looking mostly empty. These loads get their own container size and their own pricing logic, built around tonnage rather than volume.
Trying to fill a 20 or 30 yard container with concrete is both illegal to transport over the road and far more expensive than the correctly sized alternative — a 10 yard filled to an agreed, safe level is usually the right and cheaper call.
At a glance
What you get with concrete & heavy debris
- Sized specifically for concrete, brick, block, tile and adobe/stucco debris
- Priced by weight with an agreed fill level, not by volume
- Correctly sized loads avoid overage charges and unsafe over-the-road transport
- Same driveway-safe placement, boards under the rails as standard
Why concrete gets its own container
A cubic yard of concrete weighs roughly a ton and a half to two tons. A standard 20 yard container filled entirely with concrete could weigh 30 tons or more — far beyond what is legal to transport on the road. We fill low-sided containers to a safe, agreed level rather than to the rail, and price accordingly.
Mixed heavy-debris loads
Brick, block, tile and stucco or adobe tear-out often accompany a concrete job — a driveway or patio demolition, for example. These can usually go in the same container as the concrete, still priced by weight rather than volume.
Suitability
Is concrete & heavy debris the right call?
The fastest way to get this right is to check the load against both lists before you book.
Good fits for this container
- Concrete driveway, patio, sidewalk and foundation demolition
- Brick, block and tile tear-out
- Adobe and stucco removal, common on older Pueblo-area homes
Send these somewhere else
- General household or construction debris (use a standard container instead — it is priced differently)
- Rebar-heavy concrete without advance notice (tell us — it changes the weight math)

Every size below runs on this service. Match the material to the weight allowance and the volume takes care of itself.

Concrete & Heavy Debris — the Pueblo-area specifics
Some of Pueblo's older southwestern-influenced homes use genuine adobe construction — a different, denser material than stucco over frame. Tell us if that describes your project so we can weight-plan the container correctly.

Answers
Concrete & Heavy Debris — your questions answered
Why can't I just order a 20 yard for a concrete driveway tear-out?
Concrete is far denser than general debris — a full 20 yard container of concrete would be illegal to transport on the road. We fill a low-sided container to a safe, agreed weight level instead, which is both legal and usually cheaper than paying for volume you cannot actually use.
Is concrete debris priced differently than other debris?
Yes, it is priced by weight with an agreed fill level rather than by the container's volume. We will tell you the tonnage allowance and the per-ton overage rate on the phone before anything is delivered.
Can I mix brick and tile with concrete in the same container?
Yes, brick, block, tile and similar masonry debris can generally go in the same weight-priced container as concrete. Tell us the mix when you call so we can quote the tonnage correctly.
